The woman in this photo is Rosangela Silvestre, an amazing dancer and singer. My VERY first intro into Brazilian dance was a workshop I took with Samba Fogo on a whim. I had no idea what to expect. I was so far behind everyone else, but I didn’t care because she just seemed so magical to me. I was hooked after that, bought her CD, and even had dreams about these songs afterwards.
